How to Add Legacy Tizen 4.0 & 5.0 Devices to Samsung VXT

Legacy devices running Tizen 4.0 or 5.0 can be integrated into Samsung VXT for seamless management. This guide outlines the steps required to add these devices, including supported models and network setup prerequisites.

Supported Models

Tizen 4.0 Screen Models

  • QxR Series: QHR, QMR, QBR
  • QxN Series: QMN, QBN, QEN
  • OMB Series

Tizen 5.0 Screen Models

  • OHB Series: OHB, OHB-S
  • OxN Series: OMN-S, OHN
  • OxA Series: OMA, OHA, OHA-S

Network Setup

Before proceeding with the display installation, network settings must be configured to ensure device communication with the VXT server.

Follow these steps:

1. Register the Server IP or Domain Name

Add the following server address to the firewall rules or proxy settings:

Server Domain: rm.samsungvx.com

2. Open Necessary Ports

Ensure the following ports are open and configured correctly:

Port 443: HTTPS (used for data communication with the VXT Management Portal).

This is the primary port required for the device to connect to the VXT server.

TLS: Use

Port: 443

Complete the rest of the setup.

Then choose the MagicINFO Player source from the screen. Then select Network Channel.

Allow up to 5 minutes for the device to show the pairing code.

Once it is ready, access the VXT Setup and enter the pairing code.
