How to Create a Playlist in VXT (General & Sync)

Creating and managing playlists in Samsung VXT allows effective organisation and scheduling of content across digital signage networks. The following guide provides a concise guide to get started:

1. Create a New Playlist

Logging into the Samsung VXT account and navigating to the Playlists section from the main menu initiates the playlist creation process.

2. Initiate Playlist Creation

Click on New Playlist and choose the playlist type:

General: Standard playlist for sequential content playback.

Sync Play: Synchronises content across multiple screens; available only with the P Series plan.

3. Add Content to the Playlist

3.1. For General Playlists:

Click Add Content.

Select multiple content items as needed. By default, images and web content play for 5 seconds; adjust as necessary.

To reorder content, drag and drop items into the desired sequence.

To remove an item, click the delete icon next to it.

Hit Save when you are ready.

For General Playlists

3.2. For Sync Play Playlists:

Select the synced playlist type:

Single Playlist: One playlist synchronised across screens.
Multiple Playlists: Different content on each screen in a synchronised layout.

For Sync Play Playlists

For multiple playlists, set the screen wall layout by dragging to define the configuration.

For multiple playlists

The number of playlists corresponds to the configured screen wall layouts. To add content, click the + button.

Select the content to be added, and then click Save to create the playlist.

Ensure that all playlists have the same number of content slots filled to maintain synchronisation.

4. Assign the Playlist to Screens

To add the playlist to screens, click Set to Screens. The Set to Screens window will appear, showing a list of available screens. Then select one or multiple screens.

After selecting the desired screens, click Publish. The playlist will now be created and successfully published to the selected screens.

Note: The Sync Play feature is exclusive to the P Series plan. Subscription support for the synchronised playlist feature should be verified before use.
